No obstante, se debe tener prudencia con el alcance de dicho hallazgo debido a que no alcanzó un nivel de significancia estadística eng:Marriage practices and their respective residential mobility have been defined by anthropologists as one of the most important strategies among human communities to organize dynamically and socially at the intra and intergroup level, by promoting networks of incorporation of internal and external individuals in a community. Therefore, the main purpose of this research was to infer the type of postmarital residence of the human groups that lived in the current municipality of Palestina (Caldas) during the periods of El Mirador I (900 – 1.200 AD) and El Mirador II (1.200 -1.600 AD), because in the archaeological record indicative evidence of exchange or mobility of objects and people were found. The analysis was performed through dental metrics and its statistical treatment through multivariate tests to estimate male and female variation. The results obtained suggested for both periods a virilocal postmarital residence, that is to say that the cohabitation of the marital union was carried out in the town of the husband's group. This type of residential mobility was described by the chroniclers for the indigenous communities that were located in the Middle Cauca during the 16th century. However, caution should be taken with the scope of said finding because it did not reach a level of statistical significance.
