dc.description.abstractspa:La disfunción sexual se encuentra con una frecuencia elevada en pacientes con trastornos mentales severos como el trastorno bipolar y se asocian a diferentes variables, entre ellas el trastorno que padecen, uso de medicamentos, enfermedades crónicas y el género. A 120 pacientes hospitalizados con diagnóstico de trastorno bipolar, se les evaluó su historia sexológica, incluyendo cambios en la actividad sexual durante los episodios depresivos y maniacos en comparación con los episodios de eutimia. Posteriormente se realizó un análisis estadístico y se calcularon análisis descriptivos que incluían distribución de frecuencias y medias con desviación estándar, pruebas de normalidad cuantitativas, luego, se realizaron los análisis de la prueba chi-cuadrado y la prueba t para comparar las estimaciones de todas las variables comparando hombres y mujeres. Se eligió la prueba exacta de Fisher en los casos en que las frecuencias eran inferiores a cinco. Por último, se realizó un análisis Post-hoc con test de Bonferroni. El objetivo fue identificar las variables asociadas a los cambios en la actividad sexual durante los episodios afectivos en pacientes con TB. El deseo y la satisfacción sexual se relacionan directamente con la actividad sexual, pues en el 100% (N:47) de las personas que reportan un aumento de la actividad sexual durante la manía presentaban un aumento del deseo sexual. La importancia de la sexualidad y la satisfacción sexual se asociaron con cambios de la actividad sexual durante los episodios afectivos. En las mujeres se encontró una menor satisfacción sexual y antecedente de ser víctima de violencia sexual.spa
dc.description.abstracteng:Sexual dysfunction is found with a high frequency in patients with severe mental disorders such as bipolar disorder and is associated with different variables, including the disorder they suffer from, use of medications, chronic diseases, and gender. 120 hospitalized patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder had their sexual history evaluated, including changes in sexual activity during depressive and manic episodes compared to euthymia episodes. Subsequently, a statistical analysis was performed and descriptive analyzes were calculated that included distribution of frequencies and means with standard deviation, quantitative normality tests, then, the analyzes of the chi-square test and the t test were performed to compare the estimates of all the variables comparing men and women. Fisher's exact test was chosen in cases where the frequencies were less than five. Finally, a Post-hoc analysis was performed with the Bonferroni test. The objective was to identify the variables associated with changes in sexual activity during affective episodes in patients with TB. Sexual desire and satisfaction are directly related to sexual activity, since 100% (N: 47) of the people who report an increase in sexual activity during mania had an increase in sexual desire. The importance of sexuality and sexual satisfaction were associated with changes in sexual activity during affective episodes. In women, lower sexual satisfaction, and a history of being a victim of sexual violence was found.eng
