El dolor se presenta aquí como algo necesario para pensar y comprender. eng:The subject of pain has been treated differently in each era of history. It can be said that, at least in a provocative way, philosophical reflection on pain has been done, but it has not been enough. Some intellectuals have dealt with it, but this has not been the central debate of their thought, that is, there is an absence of philosophical reflection on pain. For the present writing, the possible philosophical relationships that can be made from some part of the thought of Martin Heidegger (1994) on this subject are taken into account, together with the literary perspectives of one of the works of Leo Tolstoy (2014), the book of Job from the Bible (Reina Valera, 2016) and a work of classical Greek theater (Aeschylus, 1993). From these approaches, it seeks to account for some relevant positions that can help to think about pain as a human phenomenon. It is intended to relate the philosophical reflection with the understanding of pain as a phenomenon inherent to human nature and to use, at the same time, a literary work as a reference that there may be an interpretive perspective that focuses on pain. Since Heidegger (1994), pain, along with topics such as love or death, share characteristics that, to a certain degree, are enigmatic issues that are sometimes hidden or hidden from common understanding. These are abysmal issues that we know are there, but at the same time are so deep that they are not easily understood. Philosophy, as a rational process on all things, can contribute to the understanding of pain, not from a biological or medicinal aspect, but reflective. Pain is presented here as something necessary to think and understand.
