Significados de la identidad de género en un grupo de mujeres trans en la ci udad de Cali-Colombia

Resumen: Objetivo. Comprender los significados sociales frente a la construcción de la identidad de género en cinco mujeres trans de la ciudad de Cali, entre los 20 y 30 años. Metodología. Investigación de corte cualitativo con análisis de tipo temático. Se utilizó entrevistas semiestructuradas y técnicas interactivas. Resultados. Se evidencian diferentes creencias y valoraciones sobre el género mediadas por recursos y barreras dentro de la construcción de la identidad, a través de tres etapas de tránsito. Conclusiones. La identidad de género es construida gracias a la resignificación del sistema de creencias y la movilización de las mujeres a través del reconocimiento del deseo de ser mujer, además de la apropiación de formas de expresión y recursos. Se recomienda para futuros estudios, investigar la dinámica familiar y su acompañamiento en la construcción de la identidad de género en personas trans, así como las relaciones de pareja desde una perspectiva no heteronormativa y no binaria. Abstract: Objective. To understand the social meanings of the construction of gender identity in five trans women from the city of Cali, between 20 and 30 years old. Methodology. Qualitative  research with thematic analysis. Semi-structured interviews and interactive techniques were used. Results: Different beliefs and evaluations about gender mediated by resources and barriers are evidenced within the construction of identity through three stages of transit. Conclusions. Gender identity is constructed thanks to  the resignification of the belief system and the mobilization of women through the recognition of the desire to be a woman, as well as the appropriation of forms of expression and resources. It is  ecommended for future studies to research about family dynamics and their accompaniment in the construction of gender identity in trans people, as well as couple relationships from a nonheteronormative and non-binary perspective.
