This research is the answer to the question about the reason for the great coincidence, for the moment unnoticed, in terms of thematic and analysis that the philosophers Jacques Derrida and Hans Blumenberg had, especially on the same subject: The problem of metaphor in the philosophical text. To answer this question, he asks about the reason for the research on metaphor in the framework of Derridian deconstruction, concluding openly how the concept is impossible as a unit of meaning and also as a model for the representation of truth; necessarily implying also the death of metaphysics. As for Blumenberg, we have a philosopher who begins to investigate metaphor within the project of the history of concepts. His research, from a hermeneutical philology, develops an argument similar to that of Derrida, where the metaphor is a residue of the passage from myth to logos that cannot be overcome, finding the impossibility of the Cartesian project, where it was intended to have a clear and precise language at the scientific level in Philosophy. If the metaphor is unavoidable and insurmountable in the philosophical text for both philosophers, how to understand such a coincidence without having read each other? A consequence and influence of skepticism in the language that the death of God leaves in Nietzsche is identified and insinuated in them, because if after the death of God has been expressed, we only have grammar left, it means that we have a sign without referent, only linguistic bagasse remains.
