Se toman también las contribuciones de pensadores como Sartre, Baudrillard , Merleau-Ponty, Schopenhauer y Lipovezky, quienes contemplan diversas dificultades frente a la idea del cuerpo, entre otras cuando es tomado como algo externo, cómo una cosa; Además de asignársele calidad, dignidad y condición inferiores al espíritu, al alma o al psiquismo o conciencia. Una nueva realizad del ser humano, la virtual, parece introducir un cambio frente a la distinción entre sujeto-objeto, distinción que dispuso la forma de ser y enterner el mundo, la realidad y el conocimiento de la humanidad durante mucho tiempo.
