Es importante comprender cada uno de estos factores para modificar el material según las necesidades del investigador. eng:Magnetite (Fe3O4 ) is a ferrimagnetic compound that displays magnetocrystalline anisotropy and whose properties are susceptible to various factors, among which the crystal’s size and morphology prominently stand out. The magnetic characteristics of magnetite have proven to be immensely important in various research areas, including magnetic storage, hyperthermia treatment in cancer, as well as enhancement and contrast in magnetic resonance imaging, among other applications. Despite the numerous studies conducted and the increasing interest in magnetite-like materials, systematic experimental and theore- tical investigations into the effects of modifications involving doping or extrinsic vacancies have yet to be undertaken. Consequently, this current study delved into the theoretical examination of the magnetic properties of distinct magnetites, each modified according to the molecular formula Fe2.875 X0.125O4 . In this formula, X represents the doping of first-series transition metals in both tetrahedral and octahedral positions of Fe+3, as well as octahedral positions of Fe+2. Additionally, vacancies were introduced in these same positions, utilizing the VAMPIRE software package. Hysteresis cycle properties were evaluated using the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) method, while the Monte Carlo method was employed to analyze magnetic susceptibility and Curie temperature. The results obtained facilitated the theoretical characterization of the distinct magnetites’ magnetic properties. This endeavor led to an enhanced understanding that magnetite’s magnetic properties are influenced not only by the number of introduced magnetic defect spins, but also by other contributing factors such as ligand-metal and metal-metal interactions, the Jahn Teller effect, the redox capabilities of the dopant, asymmetric superexchange interactions, and the value of the exchange interaction constant. A comprehensive comprehension of these factors holds significance in tailoring the material to suit the specific needs of researchers.
