The work consists of describing a cultural disease known among the inhabitants of Mueses as Espanto, also called Mal del Campo. It is produced by scares such as falls, accidents, blows and things like that. A characterization of the same is made exposing its typologies, symptoms and their respective healing in people. However, it is found that the Scare in Mueses makes plants, food and animals sick, so a brief tour is made on these issues. Finally, the life of the traditional doctors in Mueses or women who heal from Espanto is investigated and I find that through the exercise of curing they become ill, which is why they are considered in this work as human shields because they end up becoming ill for defending their patients. It is also concluded that the Scare never disappears and that the scare is a pretext for the Scare to make the inhabitants of Mueses sick.
