La tradicional disputa medieval de los universales es tratada aquí desde el punto de vista antiguo, específicamente desde la postura aristotélica. Se revisa su posición frente al platorismo y de allí se intenta analizar hasta donde pudo llegar su rechazo del idealismo de su maestro.
